101 Things in 1001 Days

What is the 101 in 1001?

It all comes from the Day Zero Project.

Day Zero started out with the catchy challenge of completing 101 things in 1001 days. This has been enormously popular with tens of thousands of people getting involved and sharing their lists. We now offer many more types of challenges, but here are the original guidelines for the challenge:

The Challenge:Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple challenges such as New Year’s resolutions or a ‘Bucket List’. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

If you know me I love to set huge challenges for myself and see if I can accomplish them! If you don’t, believe me, you can check out my The Classic Club Challenge- 75 books in 5 years! , 2019 A to Z Reading Challenge, or my Dewey Decimal Reading Challenge posts to see what I mean, Anyways, when I saw Book- Wyrm-Knits was doing this challenge I knew I wanted to give it a try as well.

I had a lot of fun mixing in both really fun and some more serious goals for myself. Be it something like learning to juggle to getting new glasses which I am in desperate need of.

I will be updating my progress in my monthly wrapup posts each month but if you would like to see my progress as it happens you can check out my Day Zero profile here

  1. That’s some interesting ones! I dont know if I could think of 101 things, darn xD

So happy that giving blood is in your list ❤️❤️ I finally went two times, already! I sadly must wait another 2months now, as I just got my implant piercing re-done 😅
But *aherm* I do need my driver’s liscence this year aswell.. been pushing it for YEARS.

    Goodluck xx

    1. It took me a couple of months to come up with enough for this list as well. I mainly wanted to pick things I know i can do and nothing crazy this round.
I’ve always wanted to donate blood but I was to young in school when we had the drives.
Driving makes me so anxious! But being able to drive would help me feel more independent. Plus I’m paying off a SUV so I figure i should probably drive it at some point
Thanks I’m really excited to try to do all the things

  2. That’s awesome! Good luck 😃 I get excited and enthusiastic about making these lists and joining the challenges, but the follow through is usually where I get stuck and then it slowly falls off my radar… Haha
